Although we take the worship of God seriously, we don't take ourselves too seriously. We think you will find a welcoming, friendly group of people that will allow you to enjoy the service at your level of comfort. There will be no expectations of you (no "visitors stand up") and there is no need to give when we take the offering. The main two elements of a Sunday AM service are singing and teaching. The service lasts just over an hour and guests almost always give us positive feedback on their first experience.
We believe that God cares more about what is in our hearts than the clothes we wear (1 Samuel 16:7). There certainly is no dress code. Feel free to dress comfortably - most do.
Bridgewater has great programming for children during the 9:30 and 11:00am services in Montrose and during the 9:30am service in Hallstead. In the USS Bridgewater Kid's Ministry, we have trained adults who consider it a great privilege to teach and minister to your children. We also have an exciting ministry called Voyager for kids in Kindergarten up through 5th grade which meets on Thursday nights from 6:30-8pm during the school year. Our goal in each ministry is to teach children that God has a plan for their life and there is no need that He cannot meet.
We offer a variety of events, activities and services for our students. We desire to lead young people into a maturing devotion to God, a Christ-centered direction in life, and a desire to impact others during their teen years. The high school teens meet on Sunday evenings at 6:00pm, and our middle school teens meet on Thursday nights at 6:30pm during the school year.
We have 2 locations, one in Montrose, and one in Hallstead. Click here for a map and driving directions. We look forward to seeing you here!
